Leadership - Director of Communications & Runway
Charlotte Peng
Charlotte Peng serves as the Director of Communications & Runway, where she co-developed and co-produces Miss Teen Honors Southern California. She leads the program’s marketing communications, contestant outreach, website and editorial content, runway training, and participant experience.
Charlotte earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and Public Relations from Loyola Marymount University and pursued graduate studies in Social Entrepreneurship and Marketing at the University of Southern California, focusing on cause-related marketing and the intersection of business and social impact. Her interdisciplinary background has shaped her passion for using storytelling, creativity, and community-building to advance purpose-driven work.
Charlotte holds the titles of Miss Universe Guangdong Second Runner-Up, Miss Asia USA First Runner-Up, and Miss LA Chinatown Princess. Through her experiences competing in the United States and China, she developed a deeper understanding of pageantry as a platform for cultural representation, personal growth, and meaningful connection.
As a signed model represented by agencies including Wilhelmina Models, Charlotte has worked with global fashion brands such as Michael Kors, Revolve, Max Mara, and Bally. Her runway and editorial work has been featured in Vogue and on KTLA, and she has appeared in commercial campaigns, including a recent feature for Travel Portland.
Beyond her work in front of the camera, Charlotte serves as the runway director for Miss Los Angeles Chinatown and a runway instructor at IMD Models & Talent, where she leads training for contestants and new agency models. She coaches runway technique, casting preparation, digital self-taping, confidence-building, personal branding, and strategies for navigating rejection within a competitive industry. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes preparation, resilience, individuality, and helping each model build confidence that extends beyond the runway.
Charlotte is passionate about creating spaces where young women feel seen, heard, encouraged, and empowered to grow. She hopes to help the next generation develop the confidence to use their voices and create meaningful change.
